DentaLab for QuickBooks provides an important capability for dental laboratories that wish to add case management to the QuickBooks software they use.

The DentaLab for QuickBooks system is currently offered in two ready to purchase versions: DentaLab for QuickBooks Standard Enterprise and DentaLab for QuickBooks Starter.

DentaLab for QuickBooks Starter
is a less expensive option for labs that need integrated case management and accounting software for use on a single computer.

DentaLab for Quickbooks Standard
can be licensed for multiple computer workstations, providing all of the features listed below from any of your DentaLab for QuickBooks licensed machines.
  • DentaLab for QuickBooks provides all of the basic components for entry, scheduling and tracking of cases or work orders based on dental prescriptions.
  • Optional entry is provided for those who wish to track quality control issues and/or technicians who performed the tasks involved in each prescription.
  • DentaLab for QuickBooks utilizes the basic information stored in QuickBooks for the company, customers, employees, items (products / services / production steps), prices and taxes. This information is synchronized automatically between the two systems each time DentaLab for QuickBooks is launched, or manually at user's request.
  • A Variety of reports is provided in order to analyze cases, check due dates, track quality control issues, technician productivity and more. You can also print a detailed WorkTicket for technicians to follow a specified sequence and schedule to produce the case.
  • DentaLab for QuickBooks provides a comprehensive and detailed Schedules by WorkCenter feature that allows a user to quickly and easily schedule, reschedule and track any and all case items.
  • Prescription Scanning feature can be used to store an electronic image of the original doctor prescription and viewed any time you need to lookup a case. Saves time and space!
  • Barcode Scanning feature allows to track cases in real time as work travels through the lab. Ask us for more possibilities on use of barcodes!

To use DentaLab for QuickBooks, you will need to have the following computer equipment installed:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 recommended
  • 4 gigabytes (GB) or greater RAM memory
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) or greater free hard drive space
  • Monitor resolution minimum 1280 x 1024, maximum 2560 x 1440, recommended resolution 1920 x 1080 
  • Display scaling maximum 125%, recommended 100%
  • Internet connection

To enhance your overall productivity and to help ensure business continuity we recommend these additional pieces of equipment:

  • Ink jet or laser printer supported by Microsoft Windows
  • Backup media such as external hard drive, CD-Writer, flash drive, zip drive, web-hosted
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply/Surge Protection
  • If using supplements, see separate documentation for requirements for document scanners, barcode readers, tablets, etc.

In addition, the following software must be installed:

  • Intuit QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise (2014 or later) in Australian, Canadian, United Kingdom or USA version
  • OR Intuit QuickBooks Online subscription. Advanced version recommended

The following software is provided with DentaLab for QuickBooks:

  • Microsoft .NET framework 4.5
  • Microsoft SQL Server Express
  • Stimulsoft Report .NET
  • MSSI Remote Connector

 For printing work tickets and reports you will need one or more of the following paper sizes:

  • Letter (for reports and some work tickets)
  • A5 (optional for A5 work ticket, approximately half of letter size to fit in pans)
  • A4 (optional for reports and required by A4 work ticket)

About the Trial or Demo
  • If you would like to try DentaLab for QuickBooks please contact us. We can provide a download link or mail you a CD. If you have QuickBooks and want to try DQB with your company file a trial would be best for you. If you do not have QuickBooks but still want to try DQB you can run our demo. Our demo comes with preset information. You can use the trial/demo for 30 days. After the 30 days you can register your program and continue to use it without losing any entered information.
